Pashmina is a very fine wool from the undercoat of the Changthangi goat, which is found in the higher altitudes of the Himalayas, above 4000 meters. Some know pashmina as the diamond fabric and the soft gold of the Kashmir Valley.  The distinguishable characteristics of pashmina are its exceptional softness, warmth and luxuriousness.

Please take note: This is a purely handmade product.  The imperfections in the weave give it character and uniqueness and is caused by hand-weaving.  This is not a mass-produced garment but is a labor of love and by wearing it we preserve an art form.  These pieces are traditionally handwoven in villages in Kashmir, India and you are lending a living to these artisans. The colours in the picture are very close to the true colours but may not be 100% exact due to photographic lighting.
